Beyond Blue
Beyond Blue provide information and support in relation to anxiety, depression, and suicide. Talk through your concerns with the Beyond Blue trained mental health professionals or join the online forums. Beyond Blue also provides LGBTIQ-specific support, including resources such as “Families Like Mine,” a guide for parents and families of LGBTIQ+ young people who are questioning their sexuality or gender identity.

Diverse Voices
Diverse Voices is a Queensland based non-profit organisation with a focus on the well-being of the diverse voices that make up our community through a peer to peer telephone and internet counselling service.

Gender Help for Parents
A national website created by Australian parents who have struggled to find information about services and support for issues around their children’s gender identity.

headspace
headspace is the National Youth Mental Health Foundation providing early intervention mental health services to 12-25 year olds, along with assistance in promoting young people’s’ wellbeing. There are various headspace centres in Australia that run LGBTIQ youth support groups and activities. The eheadspace online and telephone service can provide further information and support.

Lady Cilento Children’s Hospital Gender Clinic
The Lady Cilento Children’s Hospital Gender Clinic and Statewide Service aims to help young people and their families reduce any distress they are experiencing and strengthen their coping mechanisms and work towards optimum social emotional well-being and development.

Lifeline
Lifeline is a national charity providing all Australians experiencing a personal crisis with access to 24 hour crisis support and suicide prevention services.

PFLAG Australia
Parents and Friends of Lesbians and Gays (PFLAG) is a non-profit, voluntary organisation whose members have a common goal of keeping families together. PFLAG provides help, support and information to families, friends of all LGBTIQ+ people.

PFLAG Brisbane
Parents and Friends of Lesbians and Gays (PFLAG) is a peer support group that assists families and friends understand their lesbian, gay, bisexual, and trans* (LBTIQ+) loved ones. PFLAG promotes the health and wellbeing of LGBTIQ+ sons and daughters via support, education, and advocacy.
