Beyond Blue
Beyond Blue provide information and support in relation to anxiety, depression, and suicide. Talk through your concerns with the Beyond Blue trained mental health professionals or join the online forums. Beyond Blue also provides LGBTIQ-specific support, including resources such as “Families Like Mine,” a guide for parents and families of LGBTIQ+ young people who are questioning their sexuality or gender identity.

Gender Help for Parents
A national website created by Australian parents who have struggled to find information about services and support for issues around their children’s gender identity.

headspace
headspace is the National Youth Mental Health Foundation providing early intervention mental health services to 12-25 year olds, along with assistance in promoting young people’s’ wellbeing. There are various headspace centres in Australia that run LGBTIQ youth support groups and activities. The eheadspace online and telephone service can provide further information and support.

Kaleidoscope - Banyule Youth and Family Support Group
Kaleidoscope provides a family friendly meeting space where young gender diverse and gender questioning children and their families can come together to socialise and support one another.

Lifeline
Lifeline is a national charity providing all Australians experiencing a personal crisis with access to 24 hour crisis support and suicide prevention services.

Australia’s largest youth-led network providing support, workshops, and resources for LGBTIQ youth.

Parents of Gender Diverse Children
PGDC provide peer support to parents and those parenting trans and gender diverse children. PGDC became an Incorporated Association as a way to give a voice to parents of trans and gender diverse children. Their is to have a platform from which to speak out about the potential elimination of LGBTIQ+ specific support programmes within educational environments.

PFLAG Australia
Parents and Friends of Lesbians and Gays (PFLAG) is a non-profit, voluntary organisation whose members have a common goal of keeping families together. PFLAG provides help, support and information to families, friends of all LGBTIQ+ people.

PFLAG Geelong
Parents and Friends of Lesbians and Gays (PFLAG) are a group of parents, families and friends of gay, lesbian and bisexual people who meet regularly to offer support and friendship to families, particularly parents, and also to members of the LGBTIQ+ community who may need support in coming out to their families and friends.
